Must Love Dogs stars Oscar-nominated Diane Lane (Unfaithful) as Sarah Nolan, a newly divorced woman cautiously rediscovering romance with the enthusiastic but often misguided help of her well-meaning family.
Everyone around her is trying to push her back into the dating world, despite her unwillingness to do so.
Elizabeth Perkins (Cats & Dogs, Finding Nemo, Big) stars as one of Sarah?s incorrigible matchmaking siblings who do everything they can to energize her love life, including posting a personal ad for her with an online dating service; while John Cusack (High Fidelity) and Dermot Mulroney (About Schmidt) star as two hot prospects who might just prove too good to be true.
As she braves a series of hilariously disastrous mismatches and first dates, Sarah begins to trust her own instincts again and learns that, no matter what, it?s never a good idea to give up on love.
After several awful dates, she decides to give up dating. Finally, her friendly sister places a personal ad for her, with a firm notice that anyone who answers the ad: Must Love Dogs.
Ironically, she doesn’t have a dog. And neither does Jake Anderson (John Cusack). It’s a hit and miss at first, but eventually things work out. It’s a romantic comedy, so don’t be expecting anything too stunning.
If you’re the kind that likes the warm fuzzy feeling (I’m not talking about the dogs here) of a romance comedy, then you should catch it. And you better like dogs too, cos they’re there throughout the show.
